San Diego Rescue Mission to feed more than 1,500 Homeless at Congregate Christmas Meal

WHEN: Saturday, December 21, 2pm - 5pm

WHERE:  120 Elm Street, San Diego 92101

WHAT: Over 1,500 of San Diego's homeless men, women and children will gather at the San Diego Rescue Mission for a congregate Christmas meal on Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 2pm - 5pm. Nearly 200 volunteers will serve these individuals hot ham dinners and offer personal necessities like t-shirts, socks, towels, shampoo, soap and lotion. These individuals and families living on the streets will also be given information on the Rescue Mission's life-changing programs. It is an opportunity for San Diego’s homeless friends to come and enjoy some music and be served a sumptuous meal in a family style environment.  This is an opportunity to be treated with dignity and joy for a short period at this most difficult time of the year.
