Noche Bohemia at Ortega’s, a Mexican Bistro Presents Besos de Coco

What happens when you put a classical guitarist, a jazz bassist and a percussionist who makes music using her feet? Well, you get a trio of hypnotically innovative, sublimely coordinated artists known as Besos de Coco.

On Thursday, July 17th, the rhythmically intense and magnetic sounds of Besos de Coco visit Ortega’s, A Mexican Bistro in Hillcrest. Get ready for something you’ve never heard or felt before, as Besos de Coco bring their ground-breaking Latin-Jazz-infused sound to Ortega’s, a Mexican Bistro. These three versatile women are part of a weekly live music series called Noche Bohemia, celebrating the eclectic sounds of diverse musicians and Baja-inspired cuisine. 

The event is open to the public and starts at 7 p.m. and lasts until 10 p.m. each Thursday.  Located in Hillcrest on the corner of Third and University, Ortega’s invites locals and visitors alike to enjoy the variety of musicians each week.
