Assemblywoman Gonzalez, Supervisor Cox to Oppose Release of Sexually Violent Predator Douglas Badger

Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez and County Supervisor Greg Cox will oppose the release of sexually violent predator Douglas Badger into the community. They will be joined by Milena Phillips and Maria Keever, two South County mothers whose sons were killed by a sexually violent predator and created a foundation to keep kids safe.

Badger has a history of sexual assaults dating back to 1974 and has been in and out of state prison. On August 21, the courts found that he could be released back into the community for continued treatment and supervision. A court hearing is scheduled for Nov. 15 to locate appropriate housing for Badger.
