Price of Gas Continues to Drop; Cheapest Gas in or Near Imperial Beach

As of 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, the cheapest gas in Imperial Beach and west of Interestate 5 can be found at the Arco station on Palm Avenue between 12th and Florida Streets for $3.65. Two other stations also offer gas at the same price when paid for in cash.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County fell Tuesday for the 22nd time in 23 days, dropping seven-tenths of a cent to $3.822.

The average price rose 19 times in 20 days, nearing $4 a gallon, before the streak of declines began.

The average price is 6.1 cents less than a week ago, 13.4 cents lower than a month ago and 83.5 cents higher than this time last year.

The average price has fallen 15.3 cents since Sept. 12.
