Photo Gallery: High Waters in Estuary After Hazardous Weather Advisories

After high surf, high wind and coastal flooding warnings earlier this week, water in the estuary remained high Tuesday evening. No weather warnings are expected the rest of the week.

A small craft advisory was issued by the National Weather Service Tuesday morning. The advisory extended 30 nautical miles west.

On Monday a low pressure trough brought strong rip currents to coastal San Diego and high wind advisory to area mountains and deserts as well.

Though the warning ended Tuesday at 4 a.m., water levels in the ocean and Tijuana estuary remained high Tuesday evening, with surf above 6.6 feet at 10:30 p.m. Water in the estuary "rises and falls with the ocean tide."
