Gas Prices Rise, Cheapest Gas in or Near Imperial Beach

As of 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, the cheapest gallon of self-serve regular gasoline could be purchased for $3.73 at the Arco station on Palm Avenue between 12th and Florida Streets. 

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose Tuesday for the ninth time in 10 days, increasing seven-tenths of a cent to $3.877, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

That's about seven cents above the price of gas this time last week but about seven cents less than this time last month.

The average price has increased 7.9 cents over the past 10 days, including one cent on Sunday.

The average price decreased 26 times in 27 days before the increases
began Oct. 9, falling 17.7 cents over that span.

Oil analysts cite maintenance at refineries, which has reduced the
supply of gasoline, and an increase of costly imported oil as reasons for
the rising prices.
