Cheapest Gas in or Near Imperial Beach
Our weekly rundown of gas prices west of Interstate 5 to Imperial Beach. This week, the cheapest gallon around is $3.79 and can be found at three different gas stations.
As of 7 p.m. Tuesday, the cheapest gas in or near Imperial Beach could be found at the Thrifty gas station at the corner of Saturn Boulevard and Palm Avenue where you can buy a gallon of gas for $3.79.
In second place is the Valero station on Hollister Street and Coronado Avenue where a gallon of gas is $3.79 if you pay cash and $3.87 with a credit card.
The average price of a gallon of self-serve unleaded in San Diego County is $3.95, decreasing for the 33rd consecutive day. That's 5.7 cents less than a week ago and 31.1 cents lower than one month ago, but still 88.8 cents higher than this time last year.

The title for the most expensive gas in the area remains with the Shell and 7-Eleven station at the corner of Saturn Boulevard and Palm Avenue at $4.09.
