Cheapest Gas in or Near Imperial Beach

This week the title is split between Arco on Palm Avenue and Beach Side Station at $3.79 for a gallon of self-serve gasoline.

As of 1 p.m. Tuesday, the cheapest gas in or near Imperial Beach could be found at Beach Side Station, where you can buy a gallon of gasoline for $3.79 if you pay with cash and $3.89 if you use a credit card.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular unleaded gasoline in San Diego County on Tuesday is $4.01. That's 6.4 cents less than a week ago and 22.2
cents less than this time last month, but still about $1 more than this time last year.

Prices are confirmed weekly, but may fluctuate on a daily basis. Some locations charge extra for credit card purchases, unless noted here.

The 11 gas stations included stretch from the city of Imperial Beach east to Interstate 5.

Right behind Beach Side Station is the Arco gas station between 12th Street and Florida Avenue on Palm Avenue where you can purchase a gallon of self-serve unleaded for $3.79 if you pay with cash. If you use a debit card, you must pay a 50 cent surcharge. 

  • $3.85/$3.93 at the Valero on the corner of Hollister Street and Coronado Avenue.
  • $3.86/$3.96 at Valero on the corner of Imperial Beach Boulevard and 13th Street.
  • $3.87 at the Thrifty gas station on the corner of Saturn Boulevard and Palm Avenue.
  • $3.89 at the Shell station at the corner of Hollister Street and Coronado Avenue.
  • $3.97 at 7-Eleven at the corner of Palm Avenue and 13th Street.
  • $3.97 at 7-Eleven at the corner of Imperial Beach Boulevard and 13th Street.
  • $3.98 at 76 at the corner of Ingrid Avenue and Hollister Street.
  • $3.99 at 76 at the corner of Ninth Street and Palm Avenue.

The only gas in the area above $4 and the most expensive gas remains, as it has the past few weeks, at the 7-Eleven and Shell at $4.17 a gallon.
