Citizens Against Prop S
Do not be HOODWINKED by the out of town Marijuana Dispensary Consortiums Vote NO on Prop S
Dear Neighbor,
As the former of Mayor of Imperial Beach, I need to alert you to a ballot measure which, if passed, would have a negative effect on our community and our quality of life. Promoted by deep pocket outside special interests, MarijuanaStorefronts/Pot Shops would become the new, unalterable law in Imperial Beach – no matter what disturbances happen on the premises.
Operating hours 6am to 11pm, smoking onsite, locations next to homes - there is NO Recourse!

That’s why I am urging you to vote NO on PROP S.
Prop S allows the operation of numerous, large scale marijuana dispensaries in IB Locations would be permitted along any commercial street
in our retail and mixed use residential areas – we would have no control over our local zoning

Prop S allows smoking pot onsite for “patients” as
young as 18 years old. Creating marijuana hang-outs far exceeds any intent of
providing access to medical marijuana - the burden of extra law enforcement is
at our taxpayer expense
Prop S allows pot shops next to Parks, Playgrounds, Churches and Homes. The only regulation is that they would be located at least 300 feet from each other. Families living in or near any commercial area would be at risk
Prop S threatens our small town atmosphere and our
family friendly neighborhoods. The new hotel and our seaside
businesses will be most vulnerable to the potential loss of income and jobs - Investors and tourists will shy away from Imperial Beach
We can all agree on the compassionate use of medical marijuana, and current City
Law already allows for small scale collectives…but do not be HOODWINKED by this deceitfully conceived scheme. These out-of-town Marijuana Dispensary Consortiums are not on our side! They have already raised over $78,000 to hire paid campaign workers and paid political consultants trying to buy your vote – the vote of our community, of Imperial Beach!!
Don’t Let Outside Special Interests Exploit Our Community
PLEASE VOTE NO ON PROP S
