Woman Killed at Comic-Con LOVED Twilight
Woman dies at Comic-con running across the street for her place in line for a Twilight panel.
Tuesday morning a Comic-Con fan camping for the Twilight panel was struck by a car when she was crossing the street in front of the San Diego Convention Center and died at the hospital.
The woman identified by friends as Gisela Gagliardi was in a crosswalk and had a red light when she tried to run across West Harbor Drive toward the convention center at about 9:20 a.m., said police Sgt. Ron Glass.

I have a special connection with the campers. One of the fun things to cover at Comic-Con is the camping and her group was the one who I spoke with yesterday. I tweeted a photo of the group and it was the last thing she tweeted.
I can tell you that she loved events like Comic-Con because of the people in the line camping with her. They all travel around the world enjoying Twilight events.
After the accident I spoke with her new friends who quickly became close friends and I also spoke with San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders.
My condolences to her family and friends.
