K Pasta Grand Opening on 13th and Donax Tuesday
K Pasta, a new home cooked pasta restaurant, opened in Imperial Beach Tuesday.
K Pasta opened its doors for the first time Tuesday on the corner of 13th Street and Donax Avenue in Imperial Beach.
The restaurant serves several different types of homemade pasta, salads and sandwhiches, boasting whole wheat pastas and roasted vegetables for healthy dining options. Beers and wines are available, as well as deserts, like mini pies and ice cream.
The restaurant's food is based on family recipes, which is described as "simple, home made" dishes by owner Kraig Kirsner.

When asked to describe K Pasta in a sentence, Kirsner said, "We're a simple, home made, whole food pasta place for IB. We've lived here awhile, and we want a place for the people of IB to come and have good home made pasta."
