Jersey Boys Diner, which first opened in summer 2011, will not renew its 875 Seacoast Dr. lease and may leave Imperial Beach, according to owner Nicole Lalka who owns the business with her husband Gregg.

The restaurant combines New Jersey and California culinary tastes.

An official closing date has not been set but Jersey Boys will be replaced by Coronado Brewing Company, which is scheduled to open its doors in spring 2014.

"We'd both just like to make it clear how appreciative we are of the customers who have supported us over the past three years. We've had some of the nicest regulars a business could ever hope for!" she said.

Particularly special were winning top honors at Taste of IB in 2011 and being named Best Place for Breakfast in the IB Patch Readers' Choice poll.

The future for Jersey Boys is uncertain at the moment, Nicole said, but an end to Jersey Boys on Seacoast Drive may not mean the end of Jersey Boys.

"At this point, we are currently exploring all options, including opportunities outside of IB," she said.
