Cheapest Gas in or Near Imperial Beach

As of noon Tuesday, the cheapest gallon of self-serve unleaded in Imperial Beach or west of Interstate 5 could be found at the Arco station on Palm Avenue between 12th and Florida Streets for $3.67.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County fell two-tenths of a cent to $3.851 Tuesday, one day after being unchanged.

The average price is two-tenths of a cent more than a week ago, 5.3
cents higher than a month ago and 73.1 cents more than one year ago,
according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

In the past 10 days, the price increased four times, decreased four
times and was unchanged twice.

"Retail prices have remained flat to slightly down primarily because the market continues to be soft and most refiners don't think they can pass on an added expense at this time,'' said Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
