Burger King Now Open

With a line of cars spilling into 12th Street Burger King at 1130 Palm Ave. reopened this week.

The old Burger King closed in fall 2011.

A new lease was signed in May 2013 but did not reopen until renovations of outdated locations required by Burger King could take place.

Nearby McDonald's also plans renovation.

I took my son yesterday , Saturday for lunch. They were very busy. My only complaint is that they seem disorganized and weren't able to get the food to the customer in a reasonable amount of time. People were complaining....if they can't fix this they are going to send people back across the street.

To me, Mc D's fries win, so frequently in my family it was BK for whopper n quick jog across street for fries

I just hope it is better management and employees then when they were open before, that is why it went down hill due to management and employees

Gave the new place a test yesterday. Cars in line onto 12th Street. First problem: when driver is ordering, people in the back seat can't see the whole menu as it's partially obstructed by the speaker stand and sign. When I pulled up so they could see, the speaker was behind me. Got to the window and paid. I counted 12 people working in a space about four feet wide by 15 feet long. My son's first comment: "Damn! Glad I didn't apply here!" I figured it was just because it was opening week. Shortly after I paid, the window rep asked me to pull forward and park and they'd bring out my order. The problem was there wasn't any place to park without blocking the car behind me. I always hate when they ask you to pull forward because I know problems are ahead. Just as I imagined. The guy brings the food out and hands us four bags, thanks us, then starts to head back in. "Wait!," I yelled. "What about our drinks?" "Oh yeah. I guess I should've gave them to you at the window." So back in he goes. A few minutes later the car behind me is honking and we still don't have our drinks. They guy in the window is sticking his head out the window and looking at us like we're the idiots. I'm not moving though. I just paid for six meals. Finally, the drinks come. We drive away slightly annoyed. Get home and I'm surprised! All the food we ordered is actually in the bag. It also tasted pretty good considering how busy they were. Compared to the last Burger King that was there that gave you smashed greasy burgers on soggy buns, this place was great. Hopefully they'll only get better.

I thought I'd stop in and check it out, I was in a hurry so I opted for the drive through, big mistake! With six cars ahead of me, I pulled up at 2:10pm and I got to the window at 2:35!! Really? I could have gone into a sit down restaurant and ordered off of the menu and it wouldn't have taken that long! Someone needs to make sure this isn't a chronic problem or I don't have high hopes for this place! On the plus side, the food was good.
