Samples on Seacoast: Taste of IB Returns Saturday

The Imperial Beach Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual gathering of restaurants, eateries and other businesses in Pier Plaza from 1-5 p.m. Saturday.

More than 35 businesses in or near IB will participate and offer people samples of their food or products, said Imperial Beach Chamber of Commerce Executive Assistant Cynthia Fulks. 

Some food samples include Argentinian food, noodles from Noodles Noodles and K-Pasta, candy from Seaside Candy and much more. Partylite is also expected to give away festive candles. 

Attendees can walk Seacoast Drive and Palm Avenue up to 3rd Street to visit participating businesses. Those without a beachfront location will have a booth in Pier Plaza. 

Tickets can be purchased the day of the event. $10 for one ticket, $15 for two tickets and $25 for four tickets.

The sample shindig will coincide with the Dempsey Holder Pro-Am Surf Contest, now one of the largest annual surf contests in South San Diego.

The Blue Rockit Band will perform.
