Alex DePue and Miguel De Hoyos performing at "The Musical Sounds of Imperial Beach," the last act before fireworks and the night's headliners.
Both men started playing their instruments at an early age and have won awards and accolades in the United States and Mexico for their style on the strings.
The two regularly perform at the and in shows across North America.
In 2009 they released their first CD together Underground Whispers.
Last year they released Twisted Strings.
A total eight bands played Pier Plaza on the Fourth as part of "The Musical Sounds of Imperial Beach" which included , the , Stewart, Melony and Henry, , the Paul Ingram Jazz Quartet, Al Meyer & Joe and .
