J.A. Holiday Concert Monday, Debut Album Due Out Next Year

Singer/songwriter Jon-Anthoni Nieves aka J.A. will hold a holiday concert Monday at the Beach Club Grille from 7-9 p.m.

With classics and a few original songs, the show will include duets with members of his mom, sister and cousins. J.A. said he and his family always sing together this time of year, and performance is natural since many sing, play instruments or perform in musical theatre.

"It's going to be a family oriented show so I wanted to do songs with my family," J.A. said. "Christmas is a very important time of year for me and my family."

The 19-year-old's has worked on his debut album "Love is," since IB Patch . The album is scheduled to be released in spring or summer 2012. His latest single "Diamond in the Rough" was released last month. 

Nieves hopes people can relate to the album and the "normal human emotions" it attempts to reflect.
