Unclaimed $171,000 Lottery Prize Sold at Naval Base San Diego

The ticket was sold in September. The winner has until March to claim the jackpot.

A Mega Millions ticket worth nearly $171,000 that was sold on Naval Base San Diego about four months ago remains unclaimed, California Lottery officials said.

The ticket, sold at the Escape Snack Bar, matched five of six wining numbers in the Sept. 14 drawing for a prize of $170,827. The ticket matched numbers 16, 17, 21, 40 and 51 but missed the Mega number, 20.

California Lottery officials said players who work on base or live nearby should look for the ticket or risk losing out on the cash. The ticket holder has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the winnings, which means the ticket will expire at close of business March 13.

Unclaimed funds will be transferred to California schools.

Past and current draw results can be obtained by calling (800) 568-8379, or online at calottery.com.
