Tijuana River Action Month Ends with Cleanup and Guest Speaker

There's one week of Tijuana River Action Month activities left. Will you participate?

We're in the last weeks of , with events scattered throughout October that promote beach clean ups and pollution awareness.

The next event takes place Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at the Tijuana River. Participants, along with WiLDCOAST and Surfrider San Diego, will volunteer three hours of their day to help pick trash along the river, and prevent pollution from entering the ocean.

Participants are asked to supply their own needs for the pick up, such as gloves, trash bags and trash pickers. If you don’t have your own, they will be provided for. Make sure you wear your close-toed shoes and long pants. Water and snacks will be given out.
