Welcome June With Warm Temps and Partly Cloudy Skies

The region will remain temperate along the coast, but warm up to the east in the coming days.

This story was written and reported by Jennifer Vigil.

As often happens in the region, this weekend will be awesome on the coast, nice in the city and rather hot out east.

We will say hello to June with temperatures in the low 70s in Coronado, Imperial Beach and other coastal areas, according to the National Weather Service.

The city of San Diego can expect temperatures in the mid-70s, while in areas like La Mesa, Poway and Rancho Bernardo temps will rise up to the low 80s.

There will be patchy fog throughout the region in the mornings during the warming trend, which is set to ease a tad on Sunday.

In addition, cloudy mornings will give way to sunny afternoons, forecasters predicted. In other words, May Gray will lead right into June Gloom, as scheduled.
