More than 6,000 San Diego Gas & Electric customers from Imperial Beach to Coronado to San Diego neighborhoods like Otay Mesa and Nestor lost electricity around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Power was restored to Imperial Beach by 2:30 p.m. but remained out for about 1,400 customers in Coronado where power may not return until around 7 p.m.
The cause of the outage is still under investigation.
