Photo Gallery: Christmas Comes to IB

In its ninth year, the event included games, toys, ponies and, of course, Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

In its ninth year, Christmas Comes to IB filled Pier Plaza Saturday afternoon.

As is tradition, Santa arrived on a fire truck and heard children's wish lists together with Mrs. Claus.

The crowd of hundreds of people were treated to the musical sounds of a variety of performers including the Ocean View Baptist Church choir and orchestra, 6 String Samurais and bands from the South Bay Union School District and Mar Vista High School. Games were available for children, massages for adults and a petting zoo for everyone with baby chicks, rabbits, a sheep and two ponies.

More than 50 local businesses contributed to the effort, including local restaurants and Realtors, among others.

In between acts, toys were raffled off to the audience. Bikes were given away to a group of 10 lucky boys and girls for their achievements in school.
