While putting the last touches on her Eighth Street home Tuesday evening, Ann Diaz said Christmas has always been her favorite because of the time together with family.
"Two years ago it took three days and this time it was two whole days," she said as a passer-by stopped to tell her how beautiful she found all the lights and decorations.
"I love Christmas. It's the best holiday ever. And I've got grandkids now so it's really special. It's just a lot of work," she said.

Members of the Imperial Beach Business Improvement District will scour the city Wednesday evening to find the best decorated homes. Top winners receive $100, $50 or $25 respectively. Businesses and homes will be judged in separate categories.
