Local Family Raises Money for Japan Earthquake, Tsunami Relief

A family on the corner of Connecticut Street and Imperial Beach Boulevard are selling baked goods and snacks to donate money to victims of a March 11 earthquake and tsunami.

Stacey Galindo and her three children are selling homemade baked goods and snacks in front of their home on the corner of Imperial Beach Boulevard and Connecticut Street to support victims of last week's 9.0 earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

All proceeds go to the American Red Cross' relief funds.

"I have some friends in Chula Vista and Coronado to help with this," Galindo said. "We just hope it catches on."
