Enjoy the ocean view! Planting event at Border Field State Park's Monument Mesa

Come plant native species atop Monument Mesa at the very southwest corner of the continental U.S. The views from there are spectacular, and CA State Parks is just finishing a remodel of the picnic facilities. We invite you to volunteer for a day and get a sneak-peak at what' s in store.

No special skills necessary to volunteer - only a willingness to get your hands dirty.

Who: Volunteers must be at least 10 years of age for this particular event. All volunteers under 18 must bring parent-signed permission forms, available by requess (volunteer@trnerr.org). Volunteers under the age of 16 must attend with a parent or guardian.

What to wear/bring: Volunteers must work in long pants and boots or sturdy shoes. We also recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, hats and a reusable water bottle. The Tijuana Estuary provides work gloves and tools.

Where to meet: Border Field State Park (BFSP) entrance gate at 1500 Monument Road, San Diego.

Note: High School and College Community Service forms are available onsite following the event. However, we are unable to accept court-appointed service requests.

If you have any questions, or would like to bring a group, please RSVP to Danielle at volunteer@trnerr.org.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
