Edge of the Marsh Volunteer Cleanup at Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge

Bring your family, bring your friends! Join the community in a volunteer cleanup event at the Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge. Did you know that an endangered bird called the CA Clapper Rail lives in the tall marsh grasses? They begin breeding in March so now is t he time to get in there and cleanup their habitat. You'll not only give them a nicer home, but you'll save trash from making its way to the ocean.

Registration: Onsite @ 9am

Youth volunteers:
All volunteers under 18 must bring parent-signed permission forms, available by request (voluneter@trnerr.org). Volunteers under the age of 16 must attend with an adult.

What to wear/bring:
Volunteers must work in long pants and boots or sturdy shoes. We also recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats. The Tijuana Estuary provides work gloves and buckets for collecting trash - or feel free to bring your own!
