What’s on Your End of the World Bucket List?

Some people are convinced we all have a week left to live. Whether or not you believe the purported Mayan prophecy, what would you do if you knew you only had a week left?

Suppose the Mayan apocalypse prophecy that the world will end in a week is real. What would you do if you had one week left before the end of the world?

Would you travel? Find a long lost love? Go on some sort of binge? Tell your boss what you really think of them? Learn how to cage fight?

What would you do in IB? Eat a dozen Stardust Donuts? Walk your dog on the beach? Listen to the ocean?

Southwestern College professor Mark Van Stone said the doomsday prediction that the world will end in a week is a misinterpretation of ancient Mayan text by German scientists.

Like NASA scientist Dr. David Morrison, Van Stone has been busy this year trying to calm nerves and prove the claims of apocalypse wrong, but despite all evidence to the contrary, some still believe.

Strikingly similar to national data, last year 13 percent of IB Patch readers said they believe the world will come to an end Dec. 21, 2012.
