Morrow has done work for Coronado and Imperial Beach Patch and other news outlets or clients, but has been with CNN iReport since its beta launced in 2008.

Since then, her 1,500 video uploads have received more than 11 million views, many of which have made it to cnn.com or TV broadcast.

Her most popular video was shot at the Imperial Beach pier. In it she describes why she enjoys being an iReporter.

"Instead of covering a story locally, I choose to do this globally," she said in the video.

Her next story will bring her to Japan, she said, and later this summer she will be back home for Comic-Con.

Among her other ventures in media, in 2009 Morrow's short film Wyland Earth Day was named Best San Diego Film at the San Diego Film Festival.

In the future she intends to write a book about the places she has been and people she has met telling stories.
