Cheapest Gas in or near Imperial Beach

As of noon Tuesday, the cheapest gas in Imperial Beach or west of Interstate 5 is a tie between the Thrifty gas station at the corner of Saturn Boulevard and Palm Avenue and the Arco station on Palm Avenue between 12th and Florida Streets. Both sell a gallon of self-serve gasoline for $3.53. Both require a 0.45 cent surcharge if a debit card is used to pay.

The average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in San Diego County rose nine-tenths of a cent today to $3.73, marking the third increase in four days following a 16-day streak of decreases.

The average price is six-tenths of a cent more than a week ago, 8.8 cents lower than a month ago and 61.5 cents higher than at this time last year, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price rose four-tenths of a cent on Saturday and two-tenths
of a cent on Sunday, and was unchanged on Monday.
