In light of the disruptions caused by the wildfires, the SANDAG iCommute postponed Bike to Work Day to Friday, May 30.
There is still time to join thousands of San Diegans and opt for a two-wheeled commute for National Bike Month. Bike to Work 2014 supports bicycling as a viable, environmentally friendly, and cost saving commute choice. With more than 1,340 miles of bikeways in the region, commuting by pedal power can be fun and rewarding.
Bike to Work Day - Friday, May 30 - Register for Bike to Work Day, and log your bike trips in TripTracker at 511sd.com/iCommute. When you log your trips, you help provide important information about biking trends and show support for bike facilities. In addition, every time you bike to work and log your trips in May, you will be entered into weekly prize drawings throughout Bike to Work Month.
Riders who register for Bike to Work Day on the iCommute website in advance can pull into a pit stop during their morning commute on Friday, May 30 and pick up a free Bike to Work Day t-shirt and snacks.
