The bike path was never in danger Mr. Power. I can prove that to you if you'd like to see the facts.

The business plans my associates and I submitted were not the "Dinner Train" proposal you refer to. That was a National City proposal to utilize the beltline for tourism. Our proposal was different because it also had a transit component and a tourist component. Having a train from National City turn around at the Imperial Beach city yard and go back to National City as SANDAG studied in 1996 wouldn't help Imperial Beach at all....but if the line was extended from 7th street to the beach and Imperial Beach was the DESTINATION....and foot traffic came off that train or trolley right onto Seacoast Drive and the Beach....that would be pretty spectacular! Real Tourists from as far away as the Embarcadero in Downtown San Diego could ride to Imperial Beach and many of the venues along the Coronado Beltline. The official studies done by SANDAG did not consider all of the options. We found errors in their calculations and their assumptions when we researched this again in 1999.. What if the Navy were to expand the base just north of Imperial Beach. "OH! THEY ARE?" How would you rather have 3000-4000 people a day go in and out of that base.....on a light rail train or tram.....or in a car or rice rocket up the newly narrowed Palm Avenue and through residential neighborhoods on Silver Strand Blvd by El Tapitio? My proposal from 1999 goes right to the front gate of the base without crossing a city street in I.B. . We'll talk more about this in the future.

There you go responding to yourself again. I don't want to actually talk about anything with you. No matter what I said, you wouldn't listen. You would call me names and say I was a City employee or in bed with the City Council. You would go on a long rant without saying anything or providing any real evidence for your case. The City would benefit your immediate and permanent exit.

kravitz, when you finally realize how much LOVE you don't have in Imperial Beach and exit, please take your associates with you!!!

Congratulations Ed on the streaming video of our City Council meetings. That is a victory. Progress is being made one step at a time.
