Perhaps the first thing Dedina can do as Mayor is figure out how to reverse some of the damage done to the off-shore eco-system by the dredging of the entire sand flats (done so the sand could be deposited temporarily near the "Seacoasters" property) ------ he could start with finding out why WILDCOAST, an international conservation team that conserves coastal and marine ecosystems and wildlife did nothing while the Port District and City destroyed not only the beach but the off-shore environment ...

what did jon hall do while the port district and city destroyed not only the beach but the off-shore environment ??? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- in a democracy - you've got no one to blame but yourself.... the person responsible for controlling the government is the people, not non-profit agencies .... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ jon hall - how much money did you pay wildcoast to do your job for you ???

Actually Libi, Jon Hall, a non-resident of Imperial Beach (and therefore not a stakeholder), was unable to even have a voice in the raping of the eco-system --- however he is a stakeholder in Pond 20 ...
Libi Uremovic February 21, 2014 at 08:18 PM
the port and sandag are both county agencies so you are a 'stakeholder' .... it was imperial beach that was scammed, but it was the county that scammed them..... if the county of san diego itself wasn't so corrupt ib wouldn't be so corrupt ...
Libi Uremovic February 21, 2014 at 08:24 PM
you want to push responsiblity onto dedina when it was janney that was mayor of ib and vp of sandag at the time - that makes no sense ...
Jon Hall February 22, 2014 at 11:23 AM
Libi --- first off, you really need to find out what being a stakeholder means --- it has nothing to do with those affected and everything to do with those granted special privilege to make the decisions --- and it is based heavily on distance from the proposed change ...

Now about the candidates for Mayor --- my point was apparently too subtle --- let me be more blunt ------ both candidates were equally responsible for the raping of the eco-system --- and to me the *savior on the white horse* bears a greater responsibility since it is his organization that takes OPM to representative the environment over business interests ...
Libi Uremovic February 22, 2014 at 11:59 AM
so when a bank is robbed the person that should be blamed is the guard, not the robber - is that correct...???
