Although Council Meetings are usually two weeks apart, the next City Council Meeting in Imperial Beach will not be held until February 5th at 6:00 PM. Agenda will be posted here when available.

Thanks Ed. Amazing how some guy with some interest can publish the information the city should be posting. I wonder why my city does not want people to know what they are up to? Is democracy dead in IB or just wounded?

It's been in secret for about 16 years unless you are on the e-mail list. Neither newspaper publish agendas prior to meetings. How can a government claim to be transparent when nobody knows what they are doing until afterwards? Thank you for caring and hopefully more of our neighbors will get interested in the direction this city will go forward. I will give the new City Manager Andy Hall credit for attempting to be more transparent and if they actually stream the video on demand from the city's website, that would be a great move. Unfortunately the horse is already out of the barn and the barn burnt down years ago. In order to fix it.....one would have to go back an look at a lot of stuff that intentionally went under the radar without public input. It appears that SANDAG and the PORT have much more influence over elected leaders than the voters themselves. Get involved in your community. Sports Park was just one single issue. I assure you there are other reasons for citizens to become involved. If you have something to say but, are afraid to speak out...send me an email and I will post it in my name. Thanks for all you do POP QUIZ. I look forward to seing the city's sign trailers announcing council meetings in the future. So people....show up sometime at a council meeting?

I also see a positive influence with Andy Hall in this city. His job is twice as hard trying to repair what has happened before his tenure, and manage current policies.
