DO YOU THINK COUNCIL SHOULD SPEND $30,000 OF GAS TAX REVENUE TO PAY DESIGNERS OR CONSULTANTS FOR ALREADY MADE DRAWINGS OF A REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT ON 10TH STREET THAT THE SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE RDA IS TRYING TO STILL DO?

WOULDN'T GAS TAX REVENUES BE BETTER SPENT PAVING STREETS OR ALLEYS?
THAT'S WHAT IT'S FOR....NOT TO FUND AN AGENCY THAT WAS BASICALLY OUTLAWED AND LOST THEIR MAD MONEY TO THE STATE. HIGHWAY FUEL TAX SHOULD FIX ROADS STREETS AND ALLEYS....NOT PAY CONSULTANTS AND HACKS!  WHAT DO YOU THINK?  ISN'T IT TIME FOR CITY HALL TO GET OUT OF THE REDEVELOPMENT BUSINESS AND QUIT SCREWING THINGS UP. EVERY PROJECT THEY TOUCH ENDS UP TURNING TO SHIT!  WE'LL WAIT AND SEE ON THE HOTEL AS THE ONE POSSIBLE PROJECT THAT HASN'T GONE COMPLETELY BAD YET. There's still time and rain ahead.

SHOULD COUNCIL AUTHORIZE SPENDING $30,000 FROM STATE MOTOR FUEL TAX TO PAVE STREETS OR PAY CONSULTANTS FOR A REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT DRAWING ON 10TH STREET. I FEEL LIKE PAVING STREETS AND ALLEYS WITH MOTOR FUEL TAX IS APPROPRIATE....NOT FUNDING OLD RDA PROJECTS THAT THE SUCCESSOR AGENCY IS STILL TRYING TO COMPLETE EVEN THOUGH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCIES WERE OUTLAWED BY THE STATE. THE 10TH STREET PROJECT HAS BEEN IN THE SECRET HOPPER FOR A LONG TIME. DID ANYONE LOCAL ASK FOR THIS PROJECT NOW. AND WHAT ABOUT THE COUNCILS EFFORTS TO SCREW UP MORE TRAFFIC BY CHOKING LANES WITH MORE ENDLESS AND SENSELESS CONSTRUCTION ON PALM. THIS ISN'T LEMON GROVE SANDAG/COUNCIL!

Wow how disrespectful. Thank you Ed for caring about our community. My question to you Dorothy C. Is why do you care that he cares? I do not live in the City of San Diego but I sure the hell cared that we had a sexual harasser as the Mayor. Ed please continue to prod us, Shake us up and point things out. I may not agree with all that you think but I am happy to have the thought provoking discussions.

Some citizens prefer to put their heads in the sand and look the other way while the city coffers are gleaned by developers, consultants and lobbyists. Some folks are so deep in denial that they think only the best is yet to come. If the taxpayers ever get stuck for the RDA's Bond Debt on their property taxes....maybe they will start to " get it"? Of course it will be too late then. I didn't see Dorothy C's comment but ,there is an inner circle of cheerleaders (F.M.'s)that will blindly support incumbency;no matter what they do. They have either been brainwashed or missed their Constitution Class in High School. If the adjudicated papers didn't print the agendas for 16 years before the council meetings....how can anything they have done been transparent or democratic. And there are important issues besides the Sports Park that need equal attention from the public. Can't get anything done sitting on the couch or a bar stool. Or Can You? It's on you I.B. to think and ask questions....and hold your public servants accountable or vote them out of office. SIMPLE AS THAT ! And if folks are not registerd to vote...or just blow it off....you have nobody to blame but yourselves for the government you get! Thanks Robin!
