As a part of the partnership, Sullivan Solar Power employees will volunteer their time and expertise to assist with the installation of the projects of the donated solar panels. The company expects that two to three low-income homeowners will receive free solar installations as a result of the holiday partnership.

"GRID Alternatives is thrilled to partner with Sullivan Solar this holiday season to bring the gift of clean green power to families who really need the savings," said Paul Cleary, Regional Director of GRID Alternatives.

This is the second time Sullivan Solar Power has partnered with GRID Alternatives to donate free solar panels. Around the summer solstice, Sullivan Solar Power provided enough panels for three low-income residential properties in Chula Vista to receive free solar installations. The average family that received free solar installations from the partnership previously will save more than $18,000 over the warranty lifetime of the system.

"Partnering with GRID Alternatives aligns with Sullivan Solar Power’s initiatives which are designed to help entire communities go solar,” said Daniel Sullivan, founder and president of Sullivan Solar Power. “Not only do residents get to save money by going solar, they are able to help their neighboring low-income families enjoy the same energy savings by signing up before December 31.”
