With fall break coming up for local students, day camps can be a fun and affordable way to keep busy.
YMCA Camp Surf's offers surfing, bodyboarding, arts and crafts, archery and field games from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday for $150 a week for students first to sixth grade. Lunch is included.
At the , day camp is from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. but Boys & Girls Club members can stay as late as 6 p.m. Kids from five to 17-years-old may attend.
Their day camp will include games and other fun at the Boys & Girls Club and field trips to the movies, zoo, Birch Aquarium, ice skating, pumpkin patch, Six Flags Magic Mountain and more. There will also be daily science activities.
$90 for members, $100 for non-members. Payments must be received the Friday prior to the day camp or there will be a $15 late fee.
Field trips will cost more, and payment should be received two days prior to a field trip.
Lunch will not be provided.
South Bay Union School District and Sweetwater Union High School District students begin fall break Sept. 26. Classes resume Oct. 11.
