Pinole, Use of City Seal Questioned!

What are "fair political practices"? Well, what is considered unfair practices? And is this particular instance fair?

A citizen questioned the use of Pinole’s City Seal on campaign literature during the October 16, 2012 City Council meeting. The flyers were distributed for incumbent Roy Swearengen’s City Council re-election campaign.

The City’s attorney declined to answer on the legality of the seal’s use until he has time to research the statute.

The matter is listed under the October 30 “Special Meeting” agenda as item 10-A under “New Business”.

The question during the October 16 meeting caused such a raucous in the council chambers, that the meeting recessed to calm down the situation before resuming the meeting a short time later.

It will be interesting to see what the City Attorney has found from his research.

I wonder if Mr. Dorsey would define these people as "good people"? When it was time for the "public to be heard" at our last city council meeting..The sitting Councilmembers and Ricco opponents in the audience RESPECTFULLY gave Ms. Ricco time to finish her speech, Nobody interupted! Why didn't Ricco supporters give the same respect to their fellow Pinole residents that wanted to speak who differed with them..Rico supporters kept interupting, they kept yelling "time", they hissed, they caused councilmembers to admonish them.. What a embarrassment to our City! Mr. Dorsey writes above " I have personally seen what they try to do to people that oppose their views". But it was Mr Dorsey and his fellow Ricco supporters who were disrespectful and tried to intimidate his fellow residents at our last City Council meeting. Do these really sound like "good people"? Really?

I have to laugh at Jojo the Clown's insinuations. The Political Troupe known as the CCOP (Constantly Crapping on People)dr, orchestrated by the Boss Tweed wannabe, Jeff Rubin, has dominated the podium with their blather for years now. These are people with no lives, with plenty of time on their hands to assert pressure on Hapless politicians and employees to "control" things. Thats why meetings at the City Council take forever and we have these nasty elections. Vote for change and vote for Ricco!!

So by your logic, if we vote for the incumbents all of our tax dollars will go to preserving historical sites and throwing parties. Because no candidate could ever have the support of a group of people without becoming their puppet. Ivette's grandkids support her too. Maybe we should be worried that if she wins all of our precious tax dollars will go to buying them presents! (Sounds dumb when it's repeated back to you, doesn't it?)
