I live on palm ave YES ON I guess when I lived on hemlock the hilos were so loud they made it soRead Moreall the kids loud music and racing don't wake me. But the pipes do save lives it lets us here the "kid" on the bike headed our way. But all said and done I took that into account before we bought the house. If you knew 75 was busy why did you move in? Don't say you didn't know. Don't rag on riders idiots or not it's a busy navy filled highway always has been, you didn't live there before they built it therefore the noise was there before you and will be there after you.

Dante, Since I didn't attend the other meetings I can't answer your question maybe call the SanRead MoreDieg o County Board of Ed and ask them. Josie Hamada

Dante, nothing in the SDCBOE website shows any effect on taxes or fees from SUHSD relating to thisRead Morec hange of representation. Changing the Board elections to districts rather than all at-large seems a good move for local input. I did not attend any of the hearings so I can't speak to which plan was "best".

Jumping off the pier in IB is as old as piers in IB. It was a right of passages in the 70's. I wasRead Morea feet first jumper. I watched people do Gainers and one and a halfs off the top of the life guard cat walk. That was about 12 feet higher than the outside of the rail! I think those of us that did had a lot of fun. It was summer and daylight. We would do it repeatedly and safely. I never saw a single injury. In the new world only life guards or other first responders get to enjoy the thrill of that jump. The old pier also smelled like creosote, Coppertone. They both give you cancer when you use them. But it sure smelled good....

we jumped off the pier all the time, nobody cared nobody got hurt it was just good fun, so there is Read Morea fishing pier and now your not allowed to fish in the surf, who makes up these rules?

I suggest the victim contact some agency other than the IB Sherriff/Police if he expects any action Read MoreThe IB folks only handle DUI or public intoxication.

Do you like seeing the council on streaming video...or is that bad too? Do you also think thatRead Morewant ing agendas printed in the local newspapers before the council meets to deliberate is a bad idea? If you think asking for transparency and honesty is a bad thing....what does that say about you?
William Power April 07, 2014 at 11:03 PM
No problem with streaming video, but I think if people wanted to see a council meeting they didn'tRead Moren eed to have it streaming online. People could always use a DVR or VHS to record on cox cable. Heaven forbid they come to a meeting. Printing the agendas in the local newspaper would be a waste of tax payer dollars. As you regularly state, these are long documents, which you don't understand. That's a hefty ad rate for something easily obtained from a website. I guess this says that you support redundancy, lower service levels, and taking food off family tables. We have to stop catering to the lazy. If people want to be involved, they need to take the initiative. Leave town Ed.
William Power April 06, 2014 at 09:32 PM
There you go responding to yourself again. I don't want to actually talk about anything with you. Read MoreN o matter what I said, you wouldn't listen. You would call me names and say I was a City employee or in bed with the City Council. You would go on a long rant without saying anything or providing any real evidence for your case. The City would benefit your immediate and permanent exit.
