Thursday Surf and Weather Report

Plenty of fun action in the water today, and sunny skies by midday.

Good Thursday morning surf enthusiasts, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're seeing plenty of fun action out there. So go grab a session at some point during the day.

The conditions are starting off fairly clean, with a mixture of some decent size southwesterly energy and some increasing northwest windswell in the water.

That recipe is offering this neck of the woods with some fast and fairly broken-up lines, with some nice wedgers to pick off. Most spots in Imperial Beach are running about waist to chest high, with the focal points pulling shoulder high plus sets.

In the day's weather the forecast calls for sunny skies by midday and a high temperature of 74 degrees. 76 degrees in San Diego, mid-80s and low 90s for inland valleys and 115 in Borrego Springs.

Cloudy skies this evening in IB with a low temperature of 63 degrees.

West winds may stay between 5 to 15 mph but could reach 20 mph.

If you're planning on paddling, well that water temperature is still hanging on the cool side, so throw on a thin fullsuit for at least the a.m session, with it averaging between 59 and 63 degrees. Have fun out there!
