In copyright laws, it is the courts that order the copies to be destroyed, it is what is said in the laws, I am only quoting the laws of copyright. I wanted to add that last night after your site called us and asked for our story, we were very sad to read today all this meaness, it looks like from the same person who has stalked and harrassed me and Adam, the same kind of words, especially about the Royals, it is disturbing. That is why we moved to Imperial Beach in August of 2010. And before that me and Adam were in a car accident where this big truck hit us, we were in the hospital and I still have pain from it. The people here have been so good to us and have gotten to know us here and really like us. Then last night after you called for our story, we were so hurt and shocked to read here that one of our friends passed away, Russell, who owned the Dollar Store. Adam and I would go in there and get icecream, Russell was such a nice man, I cried last night and very hurt to learn about him dying, he did even seem to be sick at all. I told him about my days of being a singer and that I recorded songs back east years ago that played on the radio and every time we would go in to get icecream, he ask me to sing Rocky Top Tennessee to the customers, we would all have a chuckle, he really had a sense of humor. We will pray for his family, He will be missed, thank you for putting his photo here.

The movie is not telling the story of your ancestors, it is telling a fictional love story and the set was a ship that actually existed. Any likeness of names, even if they are eerily similar, were not stolen from your history. Unless you have irrefutable proof that all of the people you claim whose names are stolen were aboard that ship and that story was not a story, but in fact real, then you have no case and I earnestly beg you to go see a therapist. Well, the story could go back to 1953 version of Titanic. There was a "love story" in that movie as well although not as involved as the 1997 version. I suppose Walter Lords estate could also file suite as well. And lets us not forget The Unsinkable Molly Brown. They even had a nod to that movie at the dinner table. In order to prove Copyright Infringement, the claimant has to prove a) authorship, b) date of authorship, c) that James Cameron read her manuscript, d) that is substantially similar to Titanic. You cannot coptright an idea or character names, and even if Cameron knowingly borrowed from the Kennedy manuscript, that doesn't in and of itself represent a copyright infringement. Let the courts sort it out, like they did with Coming To America. And be civil!
