Gas Prices Rise Near 60 Cents In a Month; Cheapest Gas in or Near Imperial Beach

Gas prices have risen 60 cents in the past month and for the past 34 consecutive days.

As of 9:30 a.m., the cheapest gas in or near Imperial Beach could be found at the Valero station at the corner of 13th Street and Imperial Beach Boulevard for $4.27.

According to AAA, the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline Tuesday in San Diego is $4.33, rising for the 34th straight day to levels not seen since summer 2008.

That's two cents more than yesterday, 25 cents more than a week ago and 58 cents more than a month ago.

The highest average ever recorded for San Diego was $4.63 in June 2008.
