Big Waves, Patchy Fog Expected Labor Day Weekend

The Labor Day weekend forecast calls for mild temperatures and huge waves.

For IB, the unofficial final weekend of the summer season is expected to have patchy fog in the mornings that will give way to sunny skies, with some breeze mixed in, especially on Sunday.

While the mild weather will be nice, it’s the booming surf that has drawn crowds and is expected to last through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service, which has issued a High Surf Advisory through 9 p.m. on Sunday. The waves will slowly subside but will still pack a punch.
