Bake Sale to Raise Hector Arce Funeral Funds
Arce was killed in a shooting behind 7-Eleven last Saturday.
Friends of Hector Arce held a bake sale at the corner of Connecticut Street and Imperial Beach Boulevard Saturday.
Arce, 36, was shot multiple times and killed in an alley behind 7-Eleven on Imperial Beach Boulevard last Saturday.
Chocolate, strawberry and vanilla cupcakes are available for .50 cents along with peanut butter and chocolate chips cookies 3 for $1. Nachos, beverages and other treats are also being sold.
"If we don't sell out today, we'll be here tomorrow," said Valerie Saldana, who met Hector playing in the park almost two decades ago.
"He's one of those guys you never forget," she said.
